MasahiroMaruyama is a Japanese eyewear brand characterized by distinctive designs featuring hand-drawn lines and asymmetrical materials andforms.Underthe brand concept “Unfinished Art,” born from questioning perfection, our roleis to update the brand experience and the impact of each collection's conceptby employing the optimal expression method for each collection.

The latest collection “step” successfully combines lightweight yet high-quality Gaussian Splatting—a cutting-edge 3D capture technology—with traditional polygon 3D. Optimized for PlayCanvas, it creates a new experience. The“Kintsugi” collection reimagines classical Japanese Rakugo storytelling for contemporary sensibilities, drawing inspiration from its core concept. In-contrast, previous collections like “monocle” “doodle” and “broken”deliberately eschewed video. To maximize each collection's unique character, we created 360-degree animated content from 144 high-resolution still images per-collection.

Given our global target market, we have built the entire site through extensive testing. This ensures the collection presentation is intuitively understandable worldwide, while keeping the UI/UX as simple as possible without compromising usability.

With conventional still images or videos, it's difficult to intuitively grasp the essence of this unique eyewear design. To maximize the experience ofhis collection's originality and artistry on the website, we begin each project by conceptualizing ideas from a 360-degree perspective. We then produce thecontent using optimal techniques—such as 3DCG, narrative films, and 360-degree stop-motion animation—to seamlessly integrate technology and allowviewers to intuitively feel the collection's concept. We constantly pursue andchallenge ourselves to create fashion portraits for a new era.
