At the time, Takara Tomy introduced Japan’s first digital camera equipped with a built-in printer, and I was responsible for planning and producing its launch campaign.

Due to the integrated printer mechanism, the camera had a tall, elongated body, and the lens at the top resembled a face. By adding arms and legs, we developed the product into a charming character design. We also focused on the way photos were printed from between the character’s legs—a visual that humorously resembled an animal relieving itself. By combining the fun of taking photos with the character’s playful, comedic movement, we created a memorable expression of the product’s uniqueness and distinct appeal.

The produced brand movie and graphics were translated into English, Japanese, and Chinese. Based on these, we also created a full set of digital assets and brand guidelines. These are utilized for communication at global locations worldwide. A giant graphic and large screen were also installed at the headquarters entrance.
